Batteries & Charging
The first upgrade for every drone pilot: extra batteries. The DJI Mini 4 Pro ships with one Intelligent Flight Battery (2,590 mAh, 18.96 Wh) providing up to 34 minutes of flight time. In real-world conditions with wind and active obstacle sensors, expect 25–28 minutes of usable flight time.
DJI Mini 4 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery
2,590 mAh capacity, weighing just 77.9 g. Provides up to 34 minutes of flight. The Li-ion battery charges in 58 minutes via Charging Hub or 70 minutes through the drone itself.
€55–65 (~$60–70)DJI Two-Way Charging Hub
Sequentially charges 3 batteries automatically. Also functions as a power bank via USB-A (5V/2A) for charging your phone. Compatible with Mini 4 Pro and Mini 3 Series batteries.
€40–50 (~$45–55)DJI 30W USB-C Charger
The official charger supporting USB Power Delivery at 30W. Minimizes charging time to 58 minutes via the Hub. Without it, charging may be significantly slower.
€20–25 (~$22–27)Why 3 Batteries?
With 3 batteries (1 flying + 2 charging in the Hub), you get approximately 75–100 minutes of continuous flight time. By the time you finish the 2nd battery, the 1st has already charged enough for another session. The Fly More Combo (RC 2) includes 3 batteries + Charging Hub + bag at €1,010 (~$1,099).
Intelligent Flight Battery Plus — Not Available in Europe
The Battery Plus (3,850 mAh, 28.4 Wh) offers up to 45 minutes of flight, but is not sold in Europe according to DJI. The drone exceeds 249 g with this battery, changing its C0 classification and losing registration/examination privileges. Do not purchase it from third parties — you'll be operating outside regulations.
microSD Memory Cards
The DJI Mini 4 Pro has just 2 GB of internal storage — enough for a few minutes but insufficient for serious use. At 150 Mbps bitrate in 4K/60fps, one hour of video takes up approximately 65–70 GB. You need at least a U3/V30-rated card.
Recommended microSD Cards (DJI Compatibility Tested)
| Card | Capacity | Speed | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| SanDisk Extreme PRO | 32 GB | V30 U3 A1 | €12–15 (~$13–16) |
| Lexar 1066x | 128 GB | V30 U3 A2 | €20–25 (~$22–27) |
| Lexar 1066x | 256 GB | V30 U3 A2 | €25–30 (~$27–33) |
| Kingston Canvas Go! Plus | 128 GB | V30 U3 A2 | €15–18 (~$16–20) |
| Kingston Canvas React Plus | 256 GB | V90 U3 A1 | €50–60 (~$55–65) |
| Samsung EVO Plus | 512 GB | V30 U3 A2 | €40–50 (~$44–55) |
Our Recommendation
The Lexar 1066x 128 GB (€20–25 / ~$22–27) offers the best price-to-storage ratio: enough for approximately 1.5–2 hours of 4K video, DJI compatibility tested, and costs less than a meal. The file system must be exFAT. Never use a card rated below V30 — you'll drop frames at 4K/60fps.
ND Filters & Wide-Angle Lens
ND (Neutral Density) filters are the "sunglasses" of your drone — they reduce light reaching the sensor, allowing slower shutter speeds for natural motion blur in video. Without ND filters in bright sunlight, your videos look "choppy" and uncinematic.
DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Filter Set (ND16/64/256)
A set of 3 filters for different lighting conditions. ND16 for overcast skies, ND64 for moderate sun, ND256 for harsh sunlight and long-exposure timelapse. Rule: shutter speed = 2x framerate (180° rule).
€50–55 (~$55–60)DJI Mini 4 Pro Wide-Angle Lens
Expands photo FOV from 82.1° to 114° and video FOV (16:9) from 75° to 100°. Weighs just 2.3 g. Ideal for architecture, landscapes, and real estate photography.
€35–39 (~$38–43)"The 180° rule is simple: if you're shooting at 30fps, your shutter speed should be 1/60s. At 60fps, you want 1/120s. Without an ND filter at noon, the auto setting pushes the shutter to 1/4000s — result: video without natural motion."
Protection & Safety
Protecting your drone is an investment — a broken gimbal costs €80–150 (~$87–165) to repair, while a propeller guard costs less than €30 (~$33).
DJI Mini 4 Pro 360° Propeller Guard
Lightweight guard that fully surrounds the propellers 360°. Prevents injuries and damage during indoor flights or near people. Mandatory in densely populated areas.
€25–29 (~$27–32)Carrying Case / Bag
Hard-shell or semi-hard case for protection during transport. Fits the drone, controller, 3 batteries, hub, cables, and filters. Included in the Fly More Combo.
€25–35 (~$27–38)DJI Care Refresh (1 Year)
Covers 2 replacement units for accidents (crashes, water damage, collisions). Includes replacement even for ocean drops. Instead of paying €150–300 (~$165–330) for repairs, you pay a small excess fee.
€45–55/yr (~$49–60)Replacement Propellers
Spare propeller set (2 CW + 2 CCW pairs). After 50+ flights or a minor collision, propellers lose efficiency. Easily replaced with the included screwdriver.
€8–10 (~$9–11)Landing Pad & Flight Accessories
They may seem "unnecessary," but certain flight accessories solve real problems.
Landing Pad (50–75 cm)
Prevents dust and debris from damaging motors during takeoff/landing on dirty surfaces. Dust is enemy #1 for motors after water. Cost: €15–25 (~$16–27).
Monitor Hood (Sun Shield)
Reduces screen glare on your phone/controller display in sunlight. Critical for proper focus and framing. DJI RC-N Series Hood: €25–29 (~$27–32).

Tablet Holder (RC-N2)
If using the RC-N2, a tablet (e.g., iPad Mini) provides a larger screen for framing. The RC-N2 supports devices up to 180×86×10 mm.
Pocket Anemometer
Accurately measures wind speed before flight. The Mini 4 Pro handles up to 10.7 m/s, but how much wind is that? A digital anemometer costs €15–25 (~$16–27).
Controllers & Upgrades
Your controller choice dramatically affects the user experience. Here are the options:
DJI Controller Comparison
| Controller | Display | Key Advantage | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| DJI RC-N2 | Your phone | Lightweight, affordable, easy upgrade path | Included |
| DJI RC 2 | 5.5" FHD 700 nits | Built-in display, instant use, O4 video 2T4R | €340–370 (~$369) |
| DJI RC-N3 | Your phone | Newer model, improved ergonomics | €120–130 (~$129) |
If you fly frequently outdoors in sunlight, the DJI RC 2 with its built-in 700-nit display is a game-changer. No phone needed, no brightness issues, and startup is instant — power on and fly without cables.

Fly More Combo vs Buying Separately
If you haven't purchased yet, the Fly More Combo (RC 2) at €1,010 (~$1,099) includes: 3 batteries, Charging Hub, bag, and RC 2 controller. Buying separately: drone (€700 / ~$759) + 2 batteries (€120 / ~$130) + Hub (€45 / ~$49) + bag (€30 / ~$33) + RC 2 upgrade (€340 / ~$369) = €1,235 (~$1,340). You save approximately €225 (~$240) with the Combo.
What You DON'T Need
Some "accessories" are pointless or even harmful:
Third-Party LED Lights
They add weight, affect balance, and may push the drone past the 249 g limit. The Mini 4 Pro is not designed for additional payload.
Third-Party "Range Extenders"
Stick-on signal reflectors. In practice, they distort the O4 antenna radiation pattern (2T4R) and may actually reduce range instead of increasing it.
Cheap No-Name ND Filters
Poor glass quality = color cast, sharpness loss. On a 48 MP sensor, a bad filter is immediately visible. Stick with DJI or reputable brands.
microSD Card <V30
A card without V30/U3 rating can't handle 4K/60fps (150 Mbps bitrate). You'll drop frames or recording will stop entirely. Never use a card below V30.

Conclusion
Drone accessories don't need to be purchased all at once. Start with the essentials: extra batteries, a microSD card, and a carrying case. These alone massively upgrade the flight experience.
Next, add the recommended items: ND filters if you want cinematic video, DJI Care Refresh if you fly in challenging locations, and a landing pad for motor protection. Leave the "nice-to-have" items for later — you'll know exactly what you need after your first 20–30 flights.
Remember: the best "accessory" is hours of practice. No filter or battery can replace knowledge and hands-on experience.
