What Is the Mazda 6e
The Mazda 6e (known as EZ-6 in China) is a mid-size 5-door liftback sedan (D-segment) developed by Mazda in partnership with Changan Automobile on the Changan EPA1 platform. It is manufactured at the Nanjing plant in China.
It was originally unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show (April 2024) as the Mazda EZ-6 and launched in China in October 2024. For Europe, it was renamed Mazda 6e and revealed on January 10, 2025 at the Brussels Motor Show. The first shipment of 600 vehicles departed from Shanghai to Belgium in April 2025.
Important: In Europe, only the fully electric (BEV) version is offered. The range-extender (EREV) remains exclusive to the Chinese market.
